Space__Space is excited to announce, Light Interruption, a temporary mediated intervention made up of video works by Devon Narine-Singh (Boulder) Adina Glickstein (Boulder) and Flora Wilds (NYC) and a short reading of texts by the artists. The video works will be shown together on loop from 6-9 pm on Friday 12/13 and stay up at the gallery through Saturday 12/14. They will be screened amidst our dynamic exhibition, “Phones Are Heavy”. There will also be a short reading by Adina Glickstein and Devon Narine-Singh at 7:30 pm, in dialogue with the themes of the show.
These video works also allude to heaviness - of literal baggage, the weight of the archive and regret, and affective AI mediations of sacred emails between mother and daughter. Light Interrupted acts as a fraught love letter to New York City, in terms of distance, isolation and pressure.
Video works on display:
“News From Home Screen”, Adina Glickstein, 2020 (pictured above)
“TINY PURSE TREK, (spanning 7 miles and 50 purses)”, Flora Wilds, 2019
“Erosion (live through this)”, Devon Narine-Singh, 2024
Readings by Adina Glickstein and Devon Narine-Singh.
